How it started

Ray Okonkwo spent eleven years as a service plumber for two of the larger valley outfits before starting Copperline Plumbing & Drain in 2009. The complaint that pushed him out was always the same one: customers were quoted by the hour, told very little about what had actually failed, and sold a replacement whenever a repair would have done.

So the company was built on the opposite habits. Every job is priced before it starts. Every diagnosis comes with the evidence — camera footage, thermal images, the failed part itself. And if a repair will get you another five years, we say so, even though the replacement pays us better.

Who turns up

Six plumbers, four vans, one dispatcher. Everyone works under our own licence (CSLB #1084372) — we do not subcontract, so the person on your doorstep is someone we trained and are accountable for. All field staff are background-checked and carry photo identification.

Apprentices always ride with a journeyman. If we send someone still learning, there is an experienced plumber on site with them.

The standards we hold to

• The quote is fixed before work begins, and re-quoted only if we stop and tell you why.
• Permits are pulled where the county requires them, billed at cost with the receipt.
• Anything we open up gets closed properly — drywall patched, textured, and ready for paint.
• Our workmanship on a whole-house repipe is warranted for ten years.
• Boots come off or covers go on. Every time.

Licensing and insurance

Copperline Plumbing & Drain holds California contractor's licence CSLB #1084372, is bonded to the state minimum, and carries general liability and workers' compensation cover. Certificates are available on request — ask the office and we will email them before your appointment.

Community

We do two free senior-plumbing days a year through the Del Paso Heights neighbourhood association, and we keep a standing discount for teachers, nurses, and anyone serving or retired from the armed forces. Mention it when you book.
